Telecall Colombia and Parallel Wireless Advance AI-Enabled 5G Network Rollout Across Colombia

AI-based 5G network will be deployed across thousands of sites, expanding coverage and capacity while helping bridge Colombia’s digital divide

Nashua, NH, USA and Bogotá, Colombia, October 21, 2026 – Parallel Wireless®, a U.S.-based provider of energy-efficient Open RAN solutions, and Telecall Colombia today announced plans to accelerate the national-scale deployment of a 5G network powered by AI-based RAN technology across Colombia.

The rollout will address diverse connectivity needs across thousands of sites, from extending high-speed broadband to underserved areas where fiber is limited or unavailable to network densification in higher-demand locations. A flexible deployment approach will enable Telecall to apply the appropriate technologies for different coverage and capacity requirements, helping bridge Colombia’s digital divide while efficiently expanding its network.

Parallel Wireless’s UNITY AI™ embeds AI capabilities within the RAN, enabling the network to adapt to real-world traffic and RF conditions. As demand grows, these capabilities are designed to support faster throughput, increased capacity and more consistent network performance, contributing to an improved experience for Telecall customers.

The deployment is part of Telecall’s broader ambition to build a modern, AI-enabled telecommunications environment from the ground up, without the constraints of legacy network architecture.

Parallel Wireless’s GreenRAN® platform combines AI-enabled RAN with energy-efficient network technologies, supporting Telecall’s objective to scale more cost-effectively while improving spectrum and infrastructure utilization.

“We have an opportunity to build a new kind of mobile network in Colombia, one designed from the start around innovation, intelligence and the customer experience,” said Allan Kelman Ajuz, CEO and Co-Founder, Telecall. “Our ambition is to connect more people, bring high-quality broadband to communities that have historically been difficult to reach, and create a network that can evolve with the needs of our customers and the country. Parallel Wireless shares that vision and brings the innovation and flexibility to help us make it a reality.”

“Our partnership with Telecall has flourished around a shared commitment to innovation and to building trusted network infrastructure that meets the realities of Colombia’s diverse deployment environments,” said Berk Tanguner, VP & General Manager, Americas, Parallel Wireless. “As a U.S.-based network solutions provider, we bring innovative technology and the flexibility to meet different deployment requirements across Colombia, helping Telecall build a cost-effective network designed to deliver the best possible experience to its customers.”

The collaboration brings together Telecall’s vision for a national-scale 5G network with Parallel Wireless’s U.S.-developed Open RAN technology and network expertise. As the deployment progresses, the companies expect to provide additional information on rollout milestones and network performance.
